Local campaigner David Heathcote calls for an immediate halt to the council’s A629 active travel plans until a full business case is published and accepted by local residents in a referendum.
The council has avoided saying even which process was used to justify the scheme. When Dr Heathcote asked council officers for details of the model they had followed to assess public benefit, he was told they would not be able to provide an answer until January 28th.
