Kirklees Conservative Group announce Shadow Cabinet

Conservative Group Leader, Cllr David Hall, has today appointed his Shadow Cabinet to hold the authority to account for the next 12 months.

How does the Shadow Cabinet work?

Cllr Hall’s Shadow Cabinet team will be responsible for holding the Labour Party to account for any decisions they make which the Conservative Group do not believe are in the best interest of the people of Kirklees.  The seven members of the Shadow Cabinet Members will focus their work on a particular portfolio area as set out below.

Cllr Hall said:

I’m delighted to confirm our Shadow Cabinet for the coming year.

The Labour Party’s decision to, yet again, apply the maximum Council Tax increase for 2022-23 makes it even more important that they are scrutinised so that not a penny of Kirklees residents’ hard-earned money goes to waste.

Every one of our Shadow Cabinet members is experienced and focussed on making a real difference to people’s lives.  I believe that the Conservative Group are a Cabinet in waiting and the Shadow Cabinet will work hard to prove this to the people of Kirklees over the next 12 months.
